During the issue's final pages, Doom reveals through his role in helping defeat Dormammu was a starter in Marvel vs. Ego finally met his brother, calling out for him, and asking if he could feel his presence. A version of him appears in What If as a cameo antagonist of the fourth episode "What If Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands". Dormammu is not the most well-written of the rogues gallery in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he is far from being a Generic Doomsday Villain. Answer (1 of 11): Dormammu is bound to his realm/dimension and not shown to affect anything outside it, however, his realm's influence can invade other realms under the correct circumstances. Ego is a celestial who conquered the other half. If you're uncertain which one you're looking for, just flip a coin. In his own dimension, Dormammu is omnipotent and he is an incredibly powerful mystical force anywhere. Speaking of trippy artwork, this two-part introduction to longtime Strange villain Dormammu Stephen Vincent Strange, M. Hela was realized perfectly (visually at least, there were some changes to her back story), as was The Red Skull ans Surtur. Ego is formidable, but Dormammu is the only explicitly universal-tier character in the MCU so far.
The Last Annihilation: Wiccan & Hulkling #1 is part of the titular crossover, which has seen Dormammu possess Ego the Living Planet. In Guardians of the Galaxy #17 by Al Ewing with art by Juan Frigeri and Federico Blee, Dormammu has crossed over into the physical world by possessing Ego the Living Planet, seemingly killing the Elder and morphing his corpse into a new monstrous form.
